Dentures and Partials
Smile with confidence.
At Smiley Dental Group, we know that every mouth is different. And, we believe your smile is as unique as you are.
When teeth loss makes you feel self-conscious and your bite impacts chewing and speaking, Smiley Dental Group can help restore your confidence, return your smile and bring back the joy of everyday living. Our dentures are handcrafted in our on-site dental laboratory and allow for comfortable chewing and talking, and confidence in your appearance.
Dentures are can be made in complete or partial forms. Complete dentures will occupy the whole mouth and partial dentures exist to replace missing teeth in just one area. In addition to filling space, partials also keep the remaining original teeth from shifting. Dentures consist of a set of prosthetic teeth fixed to a gum-colored base. A partial is made of prosthetic teeth designed to replace missing teeth using metal clasps that fasten the removable partial to existing teeth. Dentures are very durable, but they do need to be remade, repaired and readjusted after periods of normal wear and tear.
Several circumstances may prompt the need for dentures. Causes may include the loss of all or several teeth in an “arch,” dissatisfaction with smile or gum tissue, or having trouble chewing or speaking.
At Smiley Dental Group, the denture treatment process is tailored to your dental needs and may require multiple appointments over a period of weeks. After consultation with Dr. Smiley or Dr. Holowicki, we will take impressions of your teeth so that we can build a custom denture and fit. After we construct your denture in our independent on-site laboratory, you will return to our office to fit your new dentures. Drs. Smiley and Holowicki will help adjust the dentures, paying special attention to shape, color and comfortability. This process may take multiple visits so that we can ensure a proper, confident fit.
